Angela’s Note about this work:
Storge is a wide-ranging force that can apply between family members, friends, pets and owners, companions, or colleagues. Thus storge may be used as a general term to describe the love between exceptional friends, and the desire for them to care compassionately for one another.
The theme of my work recently has focusing primarily on the power of positive connections through Love, Self-Engagement, and Citizenship.
Love: people connecting with other people, with beloved pets, with colleagues, with family, the ability to rely on each other in hard time, and ask for help when help is needed;
Self-engagement: self care in knowing when to take a break (maybe to enjoy a cup of tea or a good book), learn a new skill or hobby, connect with yourself in a real way by exploring your ability to learn and grow;
Citizenship: society coming together with a common goal, learning from our past, and trying to improve our understanding of each other for the betterment of all.
