All Levels Welcome, Some Experience is Required.

Angela will guide her students gently through her process of finding the right reference material to work from and how to edit it for your work as well as some basic photography skills for compiling your own stockpile of images to use.

Each day of the workshop will start with a live painting demo, followed by guidance on that day’s exercises. All students will have access to printed reference material and documents to help them as they work. If anyone would like to bring their own photos, they are encouraged to do so because it will be a big part of the process, but if folks are struggling to find imagery there will be some available to study from.

A large part of the class will be devoted to getting the right proportions for your figures, and little tricks to help make it easier to put your figures into your work in a plausible way without having to go into too much detail (unless you want to!)

In addition, there will be discussions around the type of pigments that work best for this technique, and medium-specific tips along with value studies and preplanning. All part of the valuable insights this Award Winning Artist will share during your weekend together.
